We have excellent news.
A member our Stonewall Democrat’s steering committee, Lydia Lowell-Sherman, has submitted her name to become a local delegate for Senator Hillary Clinton!
Based on the votes cast in our Florida Primary, the 14th Congressional District (CD14) will hold a caucus this Saturday, March 1st to elect five local delegates to attend the National Democratic Convention this fall: two for Hillary Clinton, one each for Barack Obama and John Edwards (one alternate will also be chosen).
Regardless of the presidential candidate you support, I urge you help to make sure Lydia gets selected to represent us at the most exciting national convention of a lifetime. The caucus will be from 10 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at the Estero High School, 21900 River Ranch Road in Estero. You should plan to arrive no later than 11 a.m. to ensure that you will be able to participate.
More information on the caucus and Lydia Lowell-Sherman are available by clicking here.
TIP: You MUST bring your voter’s registration card and Photo ID to vote.
Sincerely,
John Hawkins, President
Stonewall Democrats of SW Florida
