I'd like to offer a round of applause to our officer Lydia! With the final results of the Democratic Caucuses on March 1st announced, she has been elected to attend the National Democratic Convention in Denver as an Alternate Delegate for Senator Hilary Clinton.

What an exciting year for Democrats. We have two well qualified candidates running neck and neck running for the nomination and a serious chance to reach a 60 seat majority in the Senate (effectively prohibiting a filibuster by the Republicans).

I look forward to returning from the Florida GLBT Democratic Caucus Winter Conference this weekend where I plan to have completed our final recertification process. After which we will be able to officially sign up new and returning members to the local chapter. Along with that announcement I should be able to include the date and time of our first open membership meeting.
