After months of preparation and a flurry of activity over the past two weeks, our group is ready to announce our first open membership meeting. We wanted to make sure that we had a meeting worth coming to and I feel that we have lined up a great venue and agenda. While several state-level guests will speak, our primary focus will be to hear from Florida Red & Blue to learn how we can help "Say No 2"

We have obtained the meeting room at The New Metropolitan for Sunday, May 18th, starting at 3:00 PM. If you have not been there yet, it is a very pleasant GLBT friendly establishment that features a full service restaurant, separate Lounge area and tropical open patio. The restaurant will be providing us with an assortment of Hors D'ouvres to snack on and have an in-room cash bar for liquid refreshments.
The location is also ideal as many of our returning members are scattered equally through-out the greater Fort Myers / Cape Coral areas. Being located at the foot of the College Pkwy Bridge should give a short drive for all who wish to attend. Of course, our assigned region covers more than just two cities - our group is here to give a voice to any one from SW Florida.
Immediately following the official meeting we plan to migrate to the patio for the Sunday Tea Dance. This will give us an opportunity to mingle in a more relaxed, open social environment for conversation. All said it should make for an exciting and fun afternoon.
