The SWFL Pride Committee has announced a GLBT PRIDE event this Sunday June 28, 2009

 

Time: 2:00pm to 5:00pm

              Fort Myers, FL 33912

 

“Stonewall … 40 years of PRIDE” - A Celebration, will feature a number of GLBT organizations and local businesses. There will be dancing, music, and entertainment hosted by Jamie Cole, Ashley and Mona Lots. Speakers will touch on their personal life experiences over the past 40 years. Games will be set up and a dunk tank, manned by our local bar owners, will be available outside. Lawn chairs are welcome. Then beginning at 5:30 PM, various local bars will be hosting themed “After Parties” to continue the celebration.

 

The SWFL Pride Committee is a new, cross-club GLBT organization which plans to host additional community social events each year capped with a series of Pride events each June. The Stonewall Democrats of SW Florida is one of the sponsors of this event and has been working closely with the committee offering our assistance to help bring this Pride celebration to life. This should be a GREAT event and a wonderful time for all who are able to attend.
